horseriding

Miss Noa went horse riding yesterday, she loved every minute of it.   In the photo is the horse she rode while we were inFrance.  Her name is Aphrodite.

les pou-pouilles

my little niece doesn't know how to say the "L"s in french.  She taught Dyllon how to speak french, so Dyllon doesn't know how to say "L" in french.  It's so cute!

window rambling

My kitchen windows are so old that I cannot open them.  Also it's impossible to get the storm windows out if you don't open the main window, which makes it impossible to clean. (okay, in Europe you have no idea what storm windows are, they are a second set of windows that you put on in the winter when you don't have double glazing, pretty useful when it's -20C).  I have never cleaned them since I moved in.

I am going to attempt opening them and cleaning them again this week.

I'll keep you posted.  I love my little cactuses on the window, and I do love old windows.

sunset on Cohasset. MA

we took a trip to the beach and watched beautiful sunset on the coast (cohasset, MA).

a cold day in New England.

It was cold in New England yesterday.  We had to wear jumpers, have hot drinks and sit by the fire.

evening walk at the river

whenever there is water and if the water is not frozen, my kids are in that water.  and the mosquitoes got a delicious dinner that night.  I will remember to bring some bug spray next time :-)

and joyeux anniversaire papa!  je t'aime!

lemon meringue pie.

One thing I really enjoy is cooking with the little ones.  This morning I made cookies with my 3 yr old.  My 11 yr old is now an accomplished baker and is not afraid to try out new things so when her little brother asked for lemon meringue pie, she took on the challenge.

I challenged myself to capture it on film.

of course she couldn't have done it without the help of the 3yr old and the pup :-)

This is the recipe she used and it was delicious.

10.

My little boy turned ten.  He is such a big boy now.  The sweetest, loveliest boy you'll ever meet :-)

He got new headphones for his birthday, and let me take a few shots!
