a simple fun day to celebrate Salome turning 11.

got some roses from the garden, made  garland out of a children's clothes catalog, ate some Pains au Chocolat and went for a little stroll that turned into a 3 hour hike.  (Ask G, I have problems remembering how long the walks are and have taken him on many little walks that turned into 3 hour hikes.)  the kids walked for a good 2 and half hours, even the little ones.  The last half hour, JL (my brother in law) and I walked home to get the van and pick my sister and the kids up.  It was mid-day by then and the kids were getting too hot in the sun.
