Welcome to the red mop.   This is just a page to document my life for my friends and family who live in  different countries & continents.  Along the way I learned to enjoy my camera more and more and it has become a bit of a passion of mine.

In 2013, I did one photo a day for 365 days.  I think I learned to look at light in a different way, and see what light does to a photo.  In 2014, I am hoping to learn much more about composition.

My name is Léa, I am French, my mom is Dutch,  my husband is British and we live in New England, USA.  We moved from the South of France in 2012.  We have three kids and a puppy.

I love Jesus. I love pies.

Recently I have discovered the wonders of film photography.  The learning curve was steep, but the rewards are amazing.

The blog is called the red mop in reference to the furry animal that lives on top of my head.
