Live Free or Die (part II).

Photography has been such an eye opener for me.  Seeing beauty in everything and observing my surroundings.  things I wouldn't even have noticed before.

I enjoyed my new Hampshire visit so much, even if most days were gray and cold, and the trees had no leaves and everything looked barren.

window rambling

My kitchen windows are so old that I cannot open them.  Also it's impossible to get the storm windows out if you don't open the main window, which makes it impossible to clean. (okay, in Europe you have no idea what storm windows are, they are a second set of windows that you put on in the winter when you don't have double glazing, pretty useful when it's -20C).  I have never cleaned them since I moved in.

I am going to attempt opening them and cleaning them again this week.

I'll keep you posted.  I love my little cactuses on the window, and I do love old windows.

spring in my house

there is no sign of spring outside, no green at all.  So I got some fresh green plants to put in my house!

1. little hands
2. yesterday.  Sandy's very boyish handwriting.  ( pattes de mouche in french).We tend to homeschool in French, but every now and then we learn an poem in english, or read books in english.
3. Mr D's favorite, I have to put them out of reach, he bites in them, sucks all the juice out,  then brings them to us and asks us to peel them.
4. 7:20 AM.  The Lord is Gracious.

New Bedroom

Graham has moved into the barn, his old office has become our bedroom and our old room will be hte baby room.

I renovated our bedroom ( walls/plaster/paint)...
I am really happy with our new bedroom


nice shelves made by my neighbour, he came to check i put them in right/straight
 and he was happy with my job

pillows I have made, broke 3 needles and wanted to throw the sewing machine out the window,
but i am getting ready to do lots of nursing on there.



the little baby bed my dad made for my dolly when I was a little girl
the baby should fit in it for just about 1 week :-)

KitchKen

The kitchen in our house is called kitchKen.

I re-arranged it a few weeks ago, and my sister wants to see the pics, so I'm posting them on the blog.









it looks very ikea-ish but I like it, i'm happy with it...

I ma hoping to do a post about the whole house one of these days, just want to find the "before" pictures, as I have been working on the house for 4 years now! it has come a LONG way :-) and this summer we get heating put in before the baby comes.
