we had a look at impressionism, studied a Monet painting, and asked my 5 little students to paint in the same style.  It was fun and I think they did a great job!
quote of the day while observing Monet's Poplars scene:  "he didn't really do his very best".  Not sure i managed to convey the message of impressionism :-)
